Devil’s Game by Joanna Wylde Blog Tour

Liam “Hunter” Blake hates the Reapers MC. Born and raised a Devil’s Jack, he knows his duty. He’ll defend his club from their oldest enemies—the Reapers—using whatever weapons he can find. But why use force when the Reapers’ president has a daughter who’s alone and vulnerable? Hunter has wanted her from the minute he saw her, and now he has an excuse to take her.

Em has lived her entire life in the shadow of the Reapers. Her overprotective father, Picnic, is the club’s president. The last time she had a boyfriend, Picnic shot him. Now the men in her life are far more interested in keeping her daddy happy than showing her a good time. Then she meets a handsome stranger—a man who isn't afraid to treat her like a real woman. One who isn't afraid of her father. His name is Liam, and he’s The One.

Or so she thinks.

Devil's Game is book 3 in Joanna Wylde's Reapers MC series. While each book in this series centres around a different couple the books should be read in order.

We got a sneak peak of Em and Hunter's story during Reaper's Legacy (Book 2) and I was looking forward to seeing how the daughter of a Reaper could be with a member of the Devil Jack's - an enemy club. Reading this story I was just unable to see how Em and Hunter could possibly get their happily ever after and that kept me turning the page - I devoured the story in less than a day.

I love that Devil's Game is written from the point of view of both Em and Hunter. It works really well especially given they are both at different clubs.

Joanna has delivered another great story. I'd highly recommended Devil's Game and the whole Reapers MC series. Book 4 in the series, which will be Picnic's story, is due out later this year and I can't wait.

I didn't think Joanna Wylde could make this series any better but she blew this one out of the water. I absolutely loved this book! I fell in love with Hunter (aka Liam). Even though it is listed as a stand-alone, I truly believe you get so much more out of it if you read it as a series. Devil's Game takes place in a time frame overlapping with Reaper's Legacy, book #2 but from a different perspective, not rehashing the same information.

Hunter is a Devil's Jack, he lives and breathes for his club, Jack's first. Em is the daughter of Picnic, president of the Reapers. Reapers and Jacks have a truce, but not a good one and no respect for each other’s club. Hunter is doing what he needs to do for his club while Em is trying to get out from under her father’s thumb and away from Painter, her crush. The relationship between them is built on lies and rocky at best, but the chemistry is off the charts. If you like MC books this series is an action packed MUST READ!!

The wait for the next one just may kill me, I need to have Picnic and London now!!

This book was amazing! I was totally immersed into the lives of these two MCs. World building was fantastic. Liam and Em had strong chemistry, and the whole gang was in this book. I would definitely read these books in order to get the best enjoyment out of this series. The story premise started in book two between Em and Liam, and we actually got to see what went on between them here. Overall entertainment was my highest rating....five stars. I love this series, each can be stand-alone, or you can read them all. The author definitely put some reality in these books that you don't see every day. Her books have a real strong storyline too so it's easy to lose yourself in a world of MC. I would definitely read again from this author, and read these books again and again.

Marie doesn’t need a complication like Horse. The massive, tattooed, badass biker who shows up at her brother’s house one afternoon doesn’t agree. He wants Marie on his bike and in his bed. Now.

But Marie just left her abusive jerk of an ex-husband and she’s not looking for a new man. Especially one like Horse—she doesn’t know his real name or where he lives, she’s ninety percent certain he’s a criminal and that the “business” he talks with her brother isn’t website design. She needs him out of her life, which would be a snap if he’d just stop giving her mind-blowing orgasms.

Horse is part of the Reapers Motorcycle Club, and when he wants something, he takes it. What he wants is Marie, but she’s not interested in becoming “property of”.

Then her brother steals from the club. Marie can save him by giving Horse what he wants—at home, in public, on his bike… If she’s a very, very good girl, she’ll get lots more of those orgasms only he can offer, and he’ll let her brother live.

This story felt so real to me. I don't read many biker stories. I read this book when it was first released and I've just finished re-reading it in preparation for book 3 in the series, Devil's Game, which comes out soon.

The story is told mostly from the point of view of Marie, our heroine. I loved her. She was so easy to relate to. Marie knows nothing about MC life so her developing friendship/relationship with Horse is full of ups and downs. I could totally relate to her reactions to his chauvinistic pig type behaviour, behaviour which, to him, is perfectly normal. Ms. Wylde does give us a few small sections of the story from Horse's perspective which I loved.

The characters are all interesting and we want to know more about them, luckily this is a series so we get to meet them all again in the next book.

This story sexy, emotional, turbulent and I didn't want to put it down. Even the second time around I read it in 24 hours.

I'd definitely recommended Reaper's Property.

If you are looking for a sweet romantic book let me warn you that this isn't the one for you.

Reapers Motorcycle Club is a no bullshit club that takes what they want with no excuses. Marie's brother "works" for the club. He steals from the club. Marie can help him if she gives Horse what he wants and what he wants is her.

Marie leaves her husband after he becomes abusive, with nowhere to go she goes to her brother Jeff. While staying with Jeff she meets Horse and the rest of the Reapers. She feels an instant attraction to Horse, but also an instant fear of him. He was trouble and she knew it.

Horse has he eyes set on Marie and when Jeff steals from the club, Marie's choice is to either let Jeff die or stay with Horse and do exactly as he says.

I loved reading the dynamic between Horse and Marie. She starts off sweet and innocent and Horse is a big bad ass biker. But together they change each other for the better and meet somewhere in the middle. I cannot wait for Reaper's Legacy. I can't get enough of the Reapers MC.

Wow, I picked up this read off Amazon and I have to say it was amazing. The language and conversation was funny, I loved the one liners in this book. Horse and Marie had amazing chemistry and the world of MC was world building at its best. Overall entertainment was five stars.

Living with outlaw bikers wasn't Sophie's plan for her son, but Ruger isn't giving her a choice. He'll be there for Noah, whether she wants him or not. But Sophie does want him, has always wanted him. Now she'll learn that taking a biker to bed can get a girl dirty in every way.

I enjoyed Reaper's Legacy. When you read Ms. Wylde's stories you get a well put together book. I've read a few different books now based around motorcycle clubs and the Reaper's series is the most moderate. Realistic without being over the top or gratuitously violent and it doesn't make them out to be perfect romantic heroes either.

The story between Ruger and Sophie was good but I didn't feel much of the romantic connection between these two. Sometimes it felt like they were only going to get together because of the sexual attraction (the sex scenes are hot) and because he had the money and skills to take care of her, not because of love. Not that the author didn't describe the love - she did - I just didn't feel it.

Sophie who has a young son has an aversion to the club and I felt the struggle between Sophie and Ruger over the club was well written and at times I got quite mad on Sophie's behalf.

I do feel that the resolution of the story line was rushed.

Also, Ruger's house needs a mention, it sounded awesome - I'd love to live there.

I'd recommend reading Reaper's Legacy and the whole series. I'm looking forward to reading book 3, Devil's Game.

I love Reapers Motorcycle Club and #2 didn't disappoint.

Sophie loses her virginity to her high school sweetheart Zach on the couch. It was quick and awkward and they ended up getting caught by Zach's step-brother, Ruger.

Sophie ends up pregnant with Zach's baby. Zach is nonexistent. Ruger steps in to help take care of her and her son when he finds Sophie barely making it and living in a shitty apartment.

Sophie has always wanted Ruger. There is just something about him. The fact that Ruger kept something that belonged to Sophie all those years ago shows his true feelings.

I love the bickering between Sophie and Ruger, she isn't the naive little girl he first met. She stands up for herself and her son.

I know this book isn't about Horse but I absolutely love him in it. His sense of humor is great. He had me laughing out loud at some of his one liners.

The reason for my four star and not five isn't because I didn't love the story, I loved Ruger and Sophie but it felt like I needed more. More build up between them? Or more of his past (being a man-whore) something but it would never stop me from reading or recommending this book. Can't wait for #3!!

Fantastic read.....the world of MC just blows up and all you can do is hold on and enjoy the ride. Ruger and Sophie have amazing chemistry in this book, and I love that the previous characters are all there as well. If you loved the first book this is just as amazing, and all I can say is I want more.... The book is well written and this story is along the lines of books I love. Overall entertainment is five stars.
